Kids Connection Uplands Before and After School Program

Responsible Adult  $22/hour

ECE Assistant / EA $22.75/hour

We are looking for a responsible, reliable and caring adult to join our team at Uplands elementary school for summer camp and continue on in the fall for our after school program.  Candidate must complete a first aid course, criminal record check and 20 hours online course upon being hired.  Pay starts at $22 with flexible hours for summer camp, pro-d days and spring break day camp.  Before school hours are 7:15am to 8:45am /After school program runs 2:30pm to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, shifts are 2 to 4.5 hours.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervision of children kindergarten to grade 5, indoors and outside for safety and well being
• Establish guidelines for behavior
• Lead activities such craft activities and games
• Understand and follow the centre's policies and protocols
• Establish good relationship with the children, their families and coworkers

Requirements:

•  Must be 19 years of age (as per provincial licensing standards)
• ·Minimum 20 hours of professional development relating to children’s health, nutrition, safety, development and/or guidance (Responsible Adult Certificate/EA/ECEA)
• ·Valid First Aid Certificate (CPR)
• ·Provide letters references of a professional nature
• Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check. Kids Connection Uplands will provide application instructions and paperwork

Kids Connection Yorkton Multi-Age and 30 months to school age

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. 
• Guide and support children in daily routines while promoting independence and self-confidence.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment. 
• Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive and supportive program. 
•  Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and staff. 
• Follow licensing regulations, daycare policies, and health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid ECE or ECEA certification from the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development.
•  Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). 
• Clear Criminal Record Check (required).
•  Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
• Passion for working with young children and commitment to high-quality early learning.
